Bourne, where are you?

Bournebraves.org apparently is taking the off-season to rest and rebuild.
A CodBall reader several weeks ago pointed out that the Braves website had gone down for whatever reason, and thanks to readers we inquired. Word from Braves-land is that they are working on a site re-build. The site is still down.
We can’t wait to see the new and improved Braves website, complete with a 2007 roster. C’mon.
By the way, is it just me or is the Cotuit website newly designed? Speaking of Cotuit, I am scheduled to interview CCBL MVP Justin Smoak on Friday for a CodBall Conversation.

I noticed this too last week and the page that pulls up leads me to think that their domain name expired and hadn’t been renewed. My guess is that you get the same old website after the renew their domain name.
I don’t think the Cotuit site is redesigned…just a few things moved around a bit.
Perhaps they added that “14-Time Cape Cod Baseball League Champions” text at the top?
Bourne Braves website is back online….same old site though. No updates, roster, etc.
You’re right CapeMan… Same old site. Nothing new at all. Very disappointing that the ‘07 roster has not been added.
I think the Bourne organization is struggling some. Last time I had the chance to ride by, the field still needs some work…pressbox still not finished, fencing around the field needs work and the spectator sections are still a mess. They are also pleading for volunteers..even for one game. The website just seems to be part of a continued theme. I just hope they have a plan in place to keep that field in the great shape that it was in for the first season.
Hi CapeMan:
I hope they have a plan also. I completely agree with you that the “problem” with their website seems to mirror other problems within the organization. Having said that, despite last year’s abysmal showing, somehow the Braves have been in the league finals in two of the last three years.
As for the field, I hope they can maintain it and improve the area around it. It is one of the nicest playing surfaces I have ever seen. It would be a shame if they let that go. The spectator area certainly needs to be improved and I was hoping that would be given some attention over te off-season. I wonder what the agreement is between the Braves organization and the people at Upper Cape Tech with regard to maintenance ? U.C.T. will use the field this spring so I’m sure they will be responsible for mowing and general maintenance. Maybe they will use it as a “teaching experience” for their students to work on the spectator area ? I know their students were greatly involved in making the field a reality and they did a great job. It is very disappointing to hear that not much has been done - especially with a winter that has been pretty much free of snow.
