Hyannis kept it close but couldn’t overcome a 1-0 deficit against Wareham tonight.  As I understand it, this leads to Bourne and Falmouth in the western playoff and Y-D and Chatham in the East.

I listened by cell phone to the Mets’ very good broadcast tonight.

Congratulations to the Mets for a great season.  They kept it interesting all the way.

More later.

Too bad for Hyannis. They had it going and let it slip away.

    My playoff predictions:

Falmouth vs. Bourne (Falmouth in 2)
Chatham vs. YD (YD in 3)

Falmouth vs. YD (YD in 2)

I was looking forward to today’s “showdown” as well. At least Wareham has at least something to hand their hat on…. I was wrong yesterday… I guess their is still a little fight in the Gatemen.

So Aaron Crow should start in game 1 in Bourne…correct? That is HUGE for Falmouth.

In the West, Alex White is going to start for Chatham in game 1 against Eddie Burns from YD. Tom Millone goes for Chatham in game 2.

I’m not sure Eddie Burns is pitching Game 1 for YD. Remember, he was suspended for 4 games after he beaned that Orleans batter. If tonight’s game gets rained out (which is likely) and the game is cancelled and not PPD (which is likely), he won’t be able to pitch until Game 2 because the fourth and final game of his suspension would be Friday.

Good point but I think the weather will be OK.
