Yep, it's looking like a high of 74 today. Beautiful weather.

My predictions:
Chatham over Y-D in 3
Bourne over Falmouth in 2

Weather is absolutely perfect this morning on the Cape. I'm sure that the games will be played without any concern about rain. Blue skies, no wind, dry air, I guess in the low 70's at 9:15am.

My prediction?

Chatham over YD in 3 games. (Chatham must win today however)

Falmouth over Bourne in 2.

Final: Chatham over Falmouth in 2.

I just feel that Chatham is playing too good right now and I love how Falmouth plays. Game 1, however, is the key in both series. If Chatham can steal one at YD, that is huge. If DJ Mitchell can pitch like he did in Wareham last week, (15 k's) in an eventual 12 inning, 1-0 loss, Bourne will be in good shape. However, Aaron Crow is going to be a real tough match-up for the Braves.

Let the games begin!!

Andrew (Bourne),

While your enthusiasm is greatly appreciated and admired, you might want to tone down the outright favoritism a bit. It is understandable that you are part of the organization and that you root for your team (as do, I'm sure, most broadcasters and other interns around the league), but the fact that you are a journalist means that you need some sense of credibility and objectivity. It's one thing to get extremely excited on the air during a Bourne win, but it's another to come on to a blog and cheer on your team. It is, in a sense, a pretty bad form of Homerism.

I hope you don't take this to be some sort of diatribe against you; rather, it is just some advice. Keep up the enthusiasm for the Braves, however, on the air

It was much appreciated. I wish that all teams would leave a message on delays, etc. For the average fan driving around in his or her car to games it helps a lot.
