The Falmouth Commodores beat the Bourne Braves today 7-2 in a largely one-sided game in the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Western Division Playoffs. Falmouth, a team that trailed in the West early this season, takes the first game of the playoffs. Game 2 is tomorrow at 7 pm at Falmouth.

A rainy Friday on Cape Cod has delayed the start of the Cape League playoffs. The playoff schedule has been pushed back by one day. The only other change to the schedule is, since there will not be a conflict with the Falmouth Road Race registrations, Game 2 [...]

If you tuned into your local Cape and Islands NPR station (a service of WGBH) on Thursday morning you heard an interview about the Cape Cod Baseball League season and the upcoming playoffs.  WCAI invited me to discuss the season and our fan blog this morning.
