2008 CCBL Schedule Released

With the temperature barely breaking into double-digits as I type this, I’m pleased to report that the Cape Cod Baseball League 2008 schedule has been released. It may be a cold January day, but this provides hope that better (meaning warmer) days are coming. In 162 days an umpire will shout “Play ball” to open the season at Spillane Field!     I noticed the league returning to Martha’s Vineyard when Wareham plays Falmouth on July 22nd.

    When was the last time they played on MV? And which field do they play at, the high school (and what’s the name of the field)? Thanks!

    I did not realize they played on Martha’s Vineyard before either. I am aware that in the past they have played at Tom Nevers field on Nantucket.

    Maybe I was thinking Nantucket… I think the only field suitable for playing a game would be at the high school.

    Yes…I saw this on the Wareham site earlier this afternoon. Tuesday, 1:00 start for this game.
