Brewster Whitecaps 2008

Brewster Whitecaps The Brewster Whitecaps have posted their roster. As Jim Nowak, the Whitecaps announcer, might say….. “Here are YOURRRRR 2008 Brewster Whitecaps!”: http://www.brewsterwhitecaps.com/roster.htm

I don’t believe there are any players returning from last year’s team. I do not remember Brewster having many Univ. of North Carolina players in previous seasons, but the ‘08 roster shows two Tar Heels - INF Garrett Gore and RHP B.J. Dail. Also, Wade Broyles (RHP, Mississippi), a player who was mentioned in an earlier CodBall posting when we were guessing where some former Coastal Plains League players would end up, is on the Whitecaps roster.

    Garret Gore is also Coastal Plains player and was the starting 2nd basemen for UNC last season. Josh Prince from Tulane is a transfer from Texas…I’m surprised Falmouth didn’t put him on the Tulane-Falmouth train.

    It appears that BJ Dail(RHP) has recently been taken off the 2008 UNC baseball roster? Will he still come to play for the Whitecaps if he is no longer associated with Carolina baseball?
