If the Rays get any semblance of decent pitching, this may be the year they crack the .500 mark. That may not seem like much, but it would be a step in the right direction as they attempt to compete in the A.L. East. One more ex-Cape Leaguer who should be included the "Not Hot" category: Ryan Garko (Hyannis/Cleveland). An 0 for 23 streak landed Garko on the bench for one game. He was back in the lineup last night and was 0-1 (with a HBP and a sac. fly), dropping his average to .225.
