‘08 Playoffs (Championship): Game 1 Today

The CCBL Championship series begins today with Cotuit hosting the Harwich Mariners at 3pm. Weather conditions appear to be perfect. Tomorrow, however, is a different story. The Weather Channel is reporting rain all day. Accuweather shows partly sunny on Thursday (no rain), with scattered thunderstorms on Friday. A rain out on Thursday may force a double-header on Friday.

    Harwich winning would be a great story, especially considering they lost Ackley. I think, though, Cotuit will take care of business.

    I tell you this, if Bourne had beaten Falmouth that night, they would have been an extremely tough matchup for Cotuit considering they would have thrown Stowell and McCully at them.

    Harwich won Game 1 11-2 over Cotuit. Harwich leads 1 game to 0
