Bourne Braves Keep Name

Bourne will remain the “Braves”, according to Cape League Insider. It is unclear if this decision is for the 2009 season only or indefinitely. This puts to rest the name change that was rumored in the CodBall comments. 

Chatham changed their name to the Anglers last week in response to the new licensing agreements with Major League Baseball.

    Interesting article from the New York Times on this subject. Not entirely sure if this has been known for a while - but Orleans WILL be changing their name (TBD), with Bourne, Harwich and Hyannis all sticking with their names through the 2009 season.
