CodBall Conversation: Summer Ball on the West Coast

Dan Tritle of WCAI (Cape & Islands NPR) caught up with us again this season. This time, Greg mainly talked about his experience being one of the owners of the Walla Walla Sweets, who just completed their inaugural season as a ball club in the West Coast League. The West Coast League is a wood bat summer league similar to the CCBL, and currently features nine teams from Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia.   Download from...

Red Sox Squeeze by Kettleers; Game 3 on Friday

For the second time in the last 10 years, the CCBL Championship will be decided at Red Wilson Field. The scene is similar to 2006, when Y-D forced a game 3 at home vs. Wareham. It was a perfect game through 3 & 2/3rds and a no hitter through 4 & 2/3rds.  85 of his pitches were strikes. If Andriese does not win MVP for the playoffs, something incredible will happen today or tomorrow. I absolutely love this picture from the CCBL press release of Andriese that shows the scoreboard behind him (photo credit: swilson). Sure, Andriese pitched great… but he also initiated a 1-6-3...
