Cotuit's LeBlanc Injured

by Dave B. in

Another day and, unfortunately, more bad news to report. Tulane RHP Randy LeBlanc has a torn ulnar collateral ligament that will require surgery and will keep him sidelined indefinitely. LeBlanc, ranked seventh on Baseball America's preseason list of the nation's top 50 freshman prospects, was expected to play for Cotuit this year. In early season action for the Green Wave, LeBlanc had not factored in a decision, but compiled a 2.87 ERA with 22 strikeouts and five walks in 16 innings of work.
